How we keep every child safe, in person, online and around AI.
Last updated: 30 September 2026
If a child is in immediate danger, call 112. Childline India: 1098. To report a concern about anyone connected with Juniors, email our safeguarding lead at safeguarding@dineshaiacademy.com.
1. Our commitment
The welfare of every child comes first. This policy applies to everyone who works with children on our behalf, including staff, instructors, observers, volunteers and contractors, and to every class, whether online, on campus or at a partner school.
2. Safer recruitment
- Police verification or an equivalent background check before anyone works with children.
- Identity and reference checks.
- Safeguarding training at induction and at least once a year after that.
- Every adult signs this policy and our code of conduct.
3. Code of conduct for adults
- No private one-to-one contact. No private messages, calls, emails or social-media connections with children. All communication goes through parents.
- Group sessions only. Classes are observed by a second adult, or recorded where the parent has consented.
- No photos or videos of children on personal devices, ever.
- Respectful, age-appropriate language and behaviour at all times.
- No gifts, favours or special relationships with individual children.
4. Online class safety
- Waiting rooms, and only registered children admitted.
- Private chat between participants switched off, and screen sharing controlled by the instructor.
- Class links are sent to parents only.
5. AI safety
- Children under 13 never use AI accounts. The instructor operates AI tools and children direct them.
- Teens use AI only in our supervised sandbox, with content filters, a safety layer and activity logs, built within each provider's usage policy for minors.
- Children are taught never to share personal information with AI tools.
- Harmful or inappropriate AI output is stopped, discussed as a learning moment where appropriate, and reported to the safeguarding lead.
6. Images and projects
We use children's photos, videos or projects in any marketing only with a parent's separate, written consent. Showcased projects use a first name only.
7. Reporting a concern
- Anyone can raise a concern with the safeguarding lead at safeguarding@dineshaiacademy.com.
- We record every concern, act on it promptly and keep information confidential on a need-to-know basis.
- Where the law requires, including under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, we report to the police or the relevant authority.
- Any adult who is the subject of a concern is removed from contact with children while it is looked into.
8. Review
We review this policy at least once a year, and after any serious incident.
