Privacy Notice
How Dinesh AI Academy Juniors collects, uses and protects information about you and your child.
The short version: only parents or guardians can register. From your child we collect just a first name and an age group. We confirm your consent by email before we use it. We never track children, show them ads or sell anyone's data, and you can see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time.
1. Who we are
Dinesh AI Academy Juniors ("Juniors", "we", "us") is the young learners' programme of Dinesh AI Academy. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and the rules made under it, Dinesh AI Academy is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
Contact: support@dineshaiacademy.com
2. Children and parental consent
The DPDP Act treats everyone under 18 as a child. Before we process any personal data about a child, we obtain verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian:
- Only a parent or guardian can fill in our registration form.
- We then email the parent a one-time link. The registration is only activated after the parent opens that link and presses "Yes, I confirm". We record the date, time and consent version.
- Registrations that are not confirmed are deleted automatically after 30 days.
We do not carry out tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.
3. What we collect
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Parent or guardian's name, email, mobile number and (optionally) city | To verify consent, share batch details and fees, and send updates you've asked for. |
| Child's first name and age group | To place your child in the right level and address them in class. |
| Consent choices, with date, time and IP address | To keep a record that verifiable consent was given, as the law requires. |
| Attendance, progress notes and class projects | To teach your child and report progress to you. |
| Session recordings (only with separate consent) | Safety and quality review. Never published. |
We do not collect your child's surname, photograph, phone number, email address, school, home address or date of birth, and we ask you not to send them to us.
4. AI tools and your child's data
- Children never need to create an account with any AI provider.
- For ages 6–12, AI tools are operated by the instructor, and children don't enter anything themselves.
- Teens use AI through our supervised sandbox. We configure it so that children's names and personal details are not sent to AI models, and we choose providers and settings that do not use inputs to train their models.
- Sandbox activity is logged for safety review and deleted after 90 days.
5. Who we share data with
We never sell personal data or share it with advertisers. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run classes (for example website hosting, email, video-class software and WhatsApp Business for parent messages), under contracts that limit them to processing data on our instructions.
- Your child's school, only for programmes run in partnership with that school, under a written data processing agreement.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, including for child-protection reasons.
6. How long we keep data
- Unconfirmed registrations: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Enrolment and progress records: while your child is enrolled and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless the law requires longer (for example, tax records).
- Session recordings: up to 90 days.
- Consent records: as long as needed to show that consent was obtained.
7. Your rights
As a parent or guardian, you can at any time:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and your child;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
- withdraw consent, including just for recording, showcasing or WhatsApp updates. Withdrawal doesn't affect anything done before it;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you; and
- raise a grievance with us, and if you're not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, email support@dineshaiacademy.com. We'll confirm who you are before acting on the request.
8. Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. It remembers only your light or night mode preference in your own browser. Staff who log in to manage the site use WordPress's essential login cookies.
9. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, restrict access to registration records to authorised staff, keep records out of public search and APIs, and store only the minimum we need. If a data breach affects you, we'll notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
10. Grievance Officer
Our Grievance Officer can be reached at support@dineshaiacademy.com. We aim to respond within the time set by the DPDP Rules.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your child's data in a meaningful way, we'll tell you and, where required, ask for your consent again.
